May 19, 2010       Herradura Tequila Dinner

Agave Grill is hosting a special Herradura Dinner on Wednesday, May 19. The reception begins at 6:30 pm, to be followed by a three-course dinner and tasting. The cost is $55 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The guest speaker for the evening will be Ricardo Basel, Tequila Divisional Marketing Manager for Brown-Forman. Menu:

Primero: 
Succulent Pork Belly: Braised in a white wine sauce served over a bed of wilted greens and a corn cake drizzled with blood orange agave nectar. Paired with a Herradura Reposado Blood Orange la fresca.

Segundo: 
Braised Beef Short Rib: Frenched short rib braised in pomegranate and tequila served over a bed of whipped sweet potatoes and rustic Brussels sprouts. Paired with a Herradura Anejo Pomegranate Margarita.

Fin: 
Pastel de Luna: House-made Mexican shortbread cookies. Cream filled and dipped in chili infused chocolate. Served over vanilla ice cream with a tequila creme anglaise. Paired with Herradura Seleccion Suprema.
